May 23, 2009 – Rema & Zhowan's engagements

May 23, 2009

My photo shoot with Rema & Zhowan was probably the longest engagement session done to date but what a great couple to spend the day with!  Rema has been living in Toronto for a few years now and has fallen in love with the city (and Zhowan too!)  Even though their wedding will take place in London, they were adamant that their engagements be done in Toronto with as many of the iconic Toronto backdrops that we could squeeze into our day.  We started in the Distillery District (which is an insanely busy place on a Saturday I might add) then we ventured down Young street, to Union Station then to the Skywalk then down University – grabbed a bite to eat then a quick wardrobe change and then down to the Harbour Front, at which point we had planned on taking a ferry out to the island (we really wanted a shot that included the Toronto Skyline at night).  However, we soon realized that this was the last ferry to the island and would have no way of returning until the next day – boo hoo. But we did find a great spot on the corner of York & Queens Quay that gave us a good view of the Toronto skyline including the CN Tower – YAY!  Reems and Zho Zho (gotta love the pet names!) were so very cute and totally in love!  That definitely shines through in their photos.  Our shoot rocked and I can’t wait ‘till the wedding!  Love you guys! blogimg_2853blogimg_2932blogimg_29462blogimg_2954blogimg_2971blogimg_2984blogimg_3037blogimg_3040blogimg_3050blogimg_3076bwblogimg_3109blogimg_3118bwblogimg_3191bwblogimg_3215

I agree it was a looooong shoot but still wanted to keep you in Toronto even longer than that! You’ve done a great job so far and you must be the most patient photographer on the face of the planet! Through wardrobe changes because Rema cold, not eating for hours, listening to Zhowan’s hunger complaints, and even running for dear life to catch the ferry (Still wish we could have caught it too) lol… Thanks for being so amazing. We are truly happy that you are the one that has seen us through and captured these amazing moments at our engagement and soon on our big day. You are an amazing artist and an even better person and we have a great time when we’re around you. We love the pics and can’t wait to get them ALL!!

WE LOVE YOU BIG TIME JEN!!!!!
