Corynne and I arrived in Toronto last Friday to photograph an old friend’s wedding. Jo-Anne and I met at Fanshawe while taking the Photography program and have kept in touch ever since (that’s a long time by the way…). However, the actual wedding day was only my second time meeting Blain. The first time I met Jo-Anne’s future husband was at a bar that was playing their music at an almost intolerable level… wait a minute! I actually do like loud music, but this was insanely loud and needless to say I could not carry on a conversation with anyone, let alone Blain. So all I knew about Blain was that he was a philosopher and liked to wear hats on occasion – or at least he did that night at the bar. What I did learn about Blain at the wedding (besides all the Dungeons and Dragons jokes) was that he and Jo-Anne are much in love and are a perfect fit for one another. I also learned that Blain has great taste in music – I already knew Jo-Anne did, and Kudos for hand selecting such a good collection for the reception! I’m pretty sure I didn’t stop dancing all night! Corynne and I were off the clock at 10:00 but we kept our cameras on ‘till the lights came on. Thanks Jo-Anne and Blain for letting us share in your special day and congratulations! Hope you’re having a fantastic time in New York! Jo-Anne & Blain’s wedding took place at the Steam Whistle Brewery in beautiful downtown Toronto. Debbie Gabay of Rose Reisman Catering provided much more than great food. Jo-Anne raved about all of the help that she offered. “Debbie really acted like a wedding planner in terms of giving me advice, setting everything up and managing the day’s schedule.” Hair & make-up was provided by Minna & Amanda at The Third Floor. Pandor Productions offered some quality sound and many yummy cupcakes were baked with love at The Cupcakery. Overnight accomodations provided by the Radisson Admiral Toronto Harbourfront. And last but certainly not least, Jo-Anne’s friend Lora presented the wedding party with bouquets and boutonnières - great job Lora! They were gorgeous.
